Jefferson Radiology has entered into a collaboration agreement with TeraMedica for Evercore Enterprise Vendor Neutral Architecture (VNA).

Under the agreement, Jefferson Radiology will utilize TeraMedica's Evercore Smartstore Dicom module at eleven regional imaging facilities throughout Connecticut, US.

TeraMedica president and CEO Jim Prekop said Jefferson Radiology sought out vendor neutral architecture to gain visibility into all of their customer data, given the fact they provide primary diagnostic reading for several hospitals in the area.

"By supporting a statewide image-sharing initiative, TeraMedica's Evercore Clinical Enterprise Suite will enable Jefferson Radiology to reach a higher level of patient care," Prekop added.

"By utilizing Evercore, Jefferson Radiology should see immediate consolidation of storage costs, increased control of their data as well as reduced cost of ownership."
