Pathfinder Therapeutics has named Jim Cloar as the company's new president and chief executive officer (CEO).

Previously, Cloar served at Medtronic as the general manager of the navigation and imaging division, where he launched various new products in the field of cranial neurosurgery, ENT, spine and orthopedics.

Cloar takes this leadership role in advance of the American Hepato Pancreato-Billary Association (AHPBA) conference, where Pathfinder will exhibit its image-guided liver surgical products which are used across the US in leading cancer centers daily.

Pathfinder president and CEO Jim Cloar said with the company's team focus on research and development, as well as clinical and economic outcomes, it will provide its customers with increasingly effective planning and navigation tools to address patient needs.

"Pathfinder's ability to increase the number of operable liver cancers using less invasive surgical procedures will help liver surgeons to save and extend lives while driving cost effective health care," Cloar added.
