I'm thinking to go on roaccutane, how much should I start out first? then gradually move up to how much?? And lets say there is 10mg pill, and I'm suppose to take 30mg, do I take them all at the same time or 1 in the morning and 1 in the night etc...?? I'm going on with no matter what, and I'm asking this, because I didn't fully trust my dermatologist.. please help?

your dermatologist knows what he's talking about! the amount you are told to take is conducive to your body weight. so if you're a small person- he probably started you off on a small dose. i don't advice taking more. if it doesn't show results, he'll recommend more. don't take more than you're supposed to!

When i was taking accutane i started out with the lowest dose which was 10mg and i remember taking it once a day. my acne was bad but not severe for a dosage more than 10mg. i had acne scars and body acne and i have to say that the product does work but it has some serious long term affects as far as liver damage. after my acne cleared my doctor stopped giving it to me. it also causes dryness of the lips and the sides of the nose. a friend of mine is taking it right now and she gets blood test every so often. 30 mg is alot to start off with. your doctor should have put you on a lower dosage so that your body can adjust and to see if you have any serious side effects from the drug. hope this has help.
