Carnell role "good for pharmacy"

Pharmacy's role in the provision of mental health services could be boosted by the appointment of Kate Carnell as CEO of beyondblue, the PSA believes.

Welcoming the announcement, Grant Kardachi, PSA national president, said Ms Carnell (pictured) a former ACT Chief Minister and pharmacist, was now in a position to help promote the profession's role in helping people with mental health problems.

“PSA believes this appointment will be a major boost of the mental health sector in Australia as Ms Carnell has broad and wide-ranging experience across diverse sectors of the health professions,” he said.
